CommuteWISE is encouraging everyone to try a different way to get where you need to go. Walk, bike, take the bus, carpool, or work from home to help reduce congestion, improve air quality, and save money. The September Challenge runs September 1\u201330, 2026, and every trip counts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-how-it-works\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"h-how-it-works-sign-up-at-www-connect-commutewise-org-log-your-trips-and-explore-different-ways-to-get-where-you-need-to-go-you-can-mix-and-match-modes-depending-on-your-day-bike-when-the-weather-is-nice-carpool-when-it-works-for-your-schedule-or-take-the-bus-to-sit-back-and-relax-why-participate-spring-is-a-great-time-to-reset-your-habits-and-take-advantage-of-longer-days-and-milder-weather-even-small-changes-like-walking-once-a-week-or-sharing-a-ride-can-add-up-by-trying-different-options-you-can\">Sign up at UWM&#8217;s private <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.commutewise.org\/s\/uw-milwaukeede\">CommuteWISE network<\/a>, log your trips, and explore different ways to get where you need to go. You can mix and match modes depending on your day\u2014bike when the weather is nice, carpool when it works for your schedule, or take the bus to sit back and relax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-why-participate\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why participate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Back to School. <\/strong>With fall routines getting underway, take advantage of the change and switch up your drive-alone trips to a sustainable mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Weekly prize drawings will award $25 to two lucky people each week who log at least 2 round trips.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mix and match modes <\/strong>depending on your trip\u2014bike when the weather is nice, carpool when it works for your schedule, or take the bus to sit back and relax.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Construction continues! <\/strong>I-94 East-West project in Milwaukee (between 70th and 16th Streets) and other projects around the region can cause traffic impacts. Skip the drive and reduce your stress from sitting in traffic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WIN tickets to six performances at the Milwaukee Rep <\/strong>in the grand prize drawings when you log at least 10 trips during the challenge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-about-commutewise-and-the-skip-the-drive-challenge\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">About CommuteWISE and the Skip the Drive Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CommuteWISE is a free transportation planning and carpool-planning platform offered by Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC). SEWRPC is running the September Challenge, which is not affiliated with UWM.
