Try the Skip the Drive Challenge and Perhaps Win up to $150
It’s summer, and CommuteWISE is encouraging YOU to skip the drive on your Commute. Think beyond driving alone, and help reduce congestion, improve air quality, and make everyday trips more cost-effective. The Skip the Drive Challenge runs June 1–30, 2026 and is open to anyone in Southeastern Wisconsin whether you walk, bike, take the bus, carpool, or work from home. Every trip counts!
How it works
Sign up at UWM’s private CommuteWISE network, log your trips, and explore different ways to get where you need to go. You can mix and match modes depending on your day—bike when the weather is nice, carpool when it works for your schedule, or take the bus to sit back and relax.
Why participate?
- Wisconsin Bike Week is May 31 – June 7. Find awesome events and be a part of how “Bikes Build Community,” this year’s theme.
- You can mix and match modes depending on your trip—bike when the weather is nice, carpool when it works for your schedule, or take the bus to sit back and relax.
- Summer is construction season. I-94 East-West project in Milwaukee (between 70th and 16th Streets) will cause significant traffic impacts in June 2026. Skip the drive and reduce your stress from sitting in traffic.
- WIN up to $150 gift cards in the Skip the Drive raffle when you log your trips
