Wisconsin Victim Rights

If you are the victim of a crime, you may come in contact with the criminal justice system. As this process begins, you are entitled to certain rights under Wisconsin Statutes and the Wisconsin Constitution.

In addition, victims of violent crime may have significant out-of-pocket expenses through no fault of their own. Crime Victim Compensation (CVC) helps pay for unreimbursed eligible expenses that result from the crime. To learn more, visit the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
