During a planned IT maintenance event on the evening of Saturday, August 28, 2021, an unexpected Microsoft error occurred. When syncing UWM user accounts between UWM’s Active Directory and Microsoft Azure (our cloud computing platform), some UWM accounts temporarily lost access to Office 365 services.
IT professionals quickly rectified the error. During the remediation period, however, some UWM users may have received various notifications from Microsoft. For example, some users have notifications about reoccurring meetings that the users have already accepted.
This incident has been fully resolved and any users who received such notifications may delete them.
