Tech Tip: Bring Your Own Charger (BYOC)

Have you ever heard of BYOC?

Public charging stations can be a convenient way to juice up your phone while on-the-go. Unfortunately, cybercriminals have figured out how to hijack public chargers that can infect your device with malware or software giving them access to your device. Therefore, it is recommended that you bring your own charger or charging bank when you plan to be away from home for an extended period of time. For more information on staying safe while out and about, please review this article from the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
