The University uses Oracle’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) module to manage admissions, enrollment, grading, fee assessment, tuition collection, financial aid awards and more. Users access these systems through PAWS (Panther Access to Web Services).
PAWS provides the following features:
- Access for prospective students
- Online class registration for current students and rosters for faculty
- Online grading and class rosters for students and faculty
- Online payment processing for tuition and fees
- Financial aid tracking, packaging and disbursement
- Official and unofficial UWM transcript requests

Service AccessCredentials Needed
An active ePantherID and password are required to access this service.
Student Access Granted
Access is granted when a prospective student is accepted to the University.
Student Access Discontinuation
Access to the admissions and registration utilities are removed when a student is no longer eligible to enroll in classes because they have graduated, left the University or were academically dropped. However, past students and alumni can still access PAWS to retrieve personal information, view class history, and request official or unofficial transcripts.
Employee Access Granted
Faculty, staff and those sponsored by a permanent faculty or staff members are given access to this service when the hiring process is complete and the ePantherID and password are activated.
Employee Access Discontinuation
Access to this service is removed when an individual is no longer employed by or holds a sponsored affiliation with UWM.
This service is available 24/7 except during scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages. For information about timeframes when service is unavailable, visit uwm.edu/gettechhelp.
Scheduled Maintenance Window
The defined standing maintenance windows for PAWS are Wednesdays 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and Sundays 8:00 a.m. to noon. In addition, there are approximately five scheduled maintenance events annually that occur on weekends (Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to Sunday, noon) to apply vendor-supplied upgrades and maintenance. Three months’ notice is provided for the campus community when these outages are scheduled.
