Due to the introduction of Workday, the Universities of Wisconsin System will be decommissioning the OBIEE application. OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) is a business intelligence (BI) platform that helps gather, store, and visualize data, offering features like interactive dashboards, ad hoc queries, and enterprise reporting. The Universities of Wisconsin utilize BI to help make strategic decisions across various levels.
Important dates:
- July 2025 – OBIEE HR/Finance reports will no longer be populated with new data.
- July 1, 2025 – OBIEE application site will no longer be available for access to UWM student data reports.
Many areas on campus use data from OBIEE reports for a variety of business processes including communications and compliance issues. Though some data reports will continue to be available after July 1, many student level reports will not be recreated. If you are interested in learning more about Power BI, we are offering in-person training on the following dates:
- Dashboard Design using Power BI: Thursday, April 10, from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, NWQD 1885
- Data modeling using Power BI: Tuesday, April 15, from 1:15 pm – 3:30 pm, NWQD 1990
Please register for your desired in-person training session using the training interest form. Additionally, the materials and curriculum for these sessions can be accessed for self-paced learning through the Colleagues Amplifying Remarkable Potential (CARP) and Business Intelligence (BI) Teams channel.
