In April 2020 Microsoft announced that they will be rebranding from Office 365 to Microsoft 365 Apps. This change is ongoing, and Microsoft has been working to update their materials to reflect this branding change.

In an effort to align with Microsoft’s naming conventions, UWM IT has been undergoing efforts to identify and update all UWM resources containing the Office 365 naming convention.

The following list provides examples of the previous name and the rebranded name:

• Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus is now Microsoft 365 Apps
• Office 365 is now Microsoft 365
• O365 is now M365

Please note that this change is ongoing, and UWM IT expects to have all resources updated by the end of January 2021. Additionally, this change is being rolled out by Microsoft, and UWM IT does not control when this branding change will officially take effect in our environment.
