Infrastructure telephony supports and maintains all resource based telephony (non-telephone devices, services, and infrastructure) used throughout University spaces and its related services.
Features of this service include:
- Installs, adds, disconnects and moves telephony
- Programs telephone numbers’ features
- Provides telephony support for non-telephone devices (security, emergency, elevator, chair lift, server, modems, FAX, etc.)

Phone line access
To request a telephone number change, complete a Telephone and Network Services Order.
This service is available 24/7 except during scheduled maintenance periods and unscheduled outages. For information about timeframes when service is unavailable, visit the Cherwell Portal.
Scheduled Maintenance Windows
The defined standing maintenance windows for telephony infrastructure are Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and Thursday from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
