Services Performed

Configuration and Set-up

  • Install operating systems
  • Setup of supported standard University hardware and software
  • Connect to network, printers, monitors, peripherals, and other accessories
  • Move user data

Troubleshooting, Replacement, and Updates

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Provide best effort support for standard University applications
  • Repair defective equipment under warranty
  • Perform regular Windows/Apple OS and standard software updates

Security and Disposal

  • Implement and manage security setups for confidential data
  • Install antivirus and antispyware solutions and perform breach cleanups
  • Provide encryption solutions for supported laptops and desktops
  • Secure disposal of hard drives and other hardware

Service Information

Service Access

This service is available to all users of UWM-owned computers. These computers are assets of UWM and are managed by UWM IT staff. The services are only available for the UWM-managed computers and not for personally-owned devices.

Service Availability

Service is available Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, except on official University holidays.
