The TechEd Frontiers Academic Sponsor is a UWM faculty or staff member with expertise in the discipline of the TechEd Frontiers pathway. The academic sponsor:

1. Serves as a representative of their respective pathway to campus governance in the bridging of the pathway to credit process, leading the adoption and stackability of the pathway to recognized UWM credentials and degrees.
2. Validates the knowledge, skills and abilities of the pathways.
3. Recommends subject matter experts for pathway development.
4. Serves as a communication spokesperson for the pathway to both internal and external audiences.
