Students earn both UWM college credit and high school credit for these courses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UWM partners with high schools across the city of Milwaukee&nbsp;and&nbsp;surrounding areas, serving approximately 2,000 students annually.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col uwm-l-col--4 uwm-l-offset--1 uwm-l-offset--1\"><div class=\"uwm-block-otp-nav \"><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-bg-gray uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center heading-separator uwm-u-text--center\" id=\"h-get-started\">Get Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion\" data-accordion-prefix-classes=\"uwm\" data-accordion-cool-selectors=\"1\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">High Schools: Partner with UWM for Dual Enrollment at High School<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>High school teachers who wish to teach&nbsp;UWM&nbsp;courses must&nbsp;have&nbsp;the same&nbsp;qualifications as&nbsp;UWM instructors&nbsp;teaching the same course. This typically includes a master\u2019s degree in the&nbsp;content&nbsp;area or a master\u2019s degree in another field with at least 18 graduate credits in the content area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>High school teachers or administrators interested in learning more are encouraged to contact Vicki Bott at <a href=\"mailto:vlbott@uwm.edu\">vlbott@uwm.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Student Eligibility<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students must be juniors or seniors and have a 3.0 GPA or a strong recommendation from a high school teacher or counselor. Academic departments might have additional requirements students must meet to enroll in the course.
