Navigate Resource Guide: Transfer and New Adult Freshman Student

Navigate is the tool you’ll use to schedule Academic Advising appointments now that you’re at UWM. The academic advising you receive at UWM is provided by professional staff to help you navigate course planning, academic policies, and other important decisions about your college experience. For more information on Navigate, click here.

Note for Transfer & New Adult Freshman: It is a requirement to complete the Orientation Course before enrolling in courses.

  • New Adult Freshman Only: After you complete Online Orientation, you are required to meet with an advisor before you register for your courses.
  • Transfer Students: It is highly encouraged you make an advising appointment before you register for courses. When setting up your appointment via Navigate, select “New Transfer” for the appointment type (if applicable). You will be able to register for courses anytime after your enrollment appointment.
