  3. Complete the orientation Canvas course

Prior to your orientation, you will receive an email granting you access to a supplemental orientation course hosted on UWM’s online learning platform, Canvas. Using that link, you can enroll yourself in the orientation course and work through the pages, videos and the quizzes. This course will be available to you throughout the year in case you need to brush up on any of the information provided.

  4. Attend your orientation program

At orientation, each student will sign up for an individual in-person or virtual appointment with their academic advisor which will take place the week following orientation. This allows for an individualized experience where the advisor can focus directly on the student to help them finalize their schedule and enroll in their first semester of classes.

Students can expect to be on campus for about 3 hours. Note that lunch is not provided so please plan accordingly.

Please bring your ePanther ID and password, a writing utensil, a sweater (most buildings are air conditioned and can get cold), jacket, comfortable walking shoes and an umbrella (if needed).

    Parking Details
When attending New Student Orientation, please park in Lot 4 off of University Dr. (1500 N. University Dr.). Orientation will be held in the Commons Building directly across from Lot 4. Orientation leaders and signage will direct you to the check-in area in the Commons Main Entrance. A parking permit is not required.
