Official membership (Roster Standards)

 

ROSTER STANDARDS

The following standards now apply to all registered student organizations:

  1. New organizations/portals have 60 days from training/activation to complete the organization profile (org profile), and all the steps in the registration process, getting officers and the advisor to appear in the online roster. After 60 days, the portal will be inactive and be archived.
  2. The official membership roster for each registered student organization is the membership list in UWM Engage. The official UWM faculty/staff advisor must also appear in this membership list in the advisor membership category. Currently enrolled students who do not appear in the online roster may be ineligible for some opportunities. If an organization has non-UWM members, a list of these members can be posted in the “Rosters” folder under the “Documents” tool. Any organization with a non-UWM advisor can request a special user account for that advisor. UW System policy requires that all registered student organizations maintain a membership that is at least ¾ currently enrolled students.
