Joining a Fraternity or Sorority
It’s always a great time to Go Greek! The process to join depends on the chapter(s) you are most interested in. All groups have different requirements for membership and our groups follow a few different processes. Check out the information below to learn more:
If you are interested in a men’s fraternity and want to learn more about Alpha Epsilon Pi, Alpha Sigma Phi, Phi Sigma Kappa, Sigma Chi, or Triangle Fraternity, check out the Fraternity/Sorority Involvement Fair. Each chapter will have its fall recruitment schedule available. From there, you decide which groups you would like to know better and how you want to narrow down your options.
If you are interested in a fraternity or sorority that has a focus on multicultural membership, please contact the individual chapter to ask about how you can join. If you are unsure where to start, email the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff at greeklife@uwm.edu.

Current Recruitment Opportunities:
Fall Primary Recruitment: For Alpha Omicron Pi, Gamma Phi Beta, and Kappa Tau, fall sorority recruitment is held over a structured weekend of events that culminates with Bid Day. You must be present for the entire weekend. Interested women are required to pre-register for sorority recruitment, and participation costs $10.
- Recruitment 2023 will be September 22-24, 2023: register at uwm.mycampusdirector2.com!
- Registration for Fall Recruitment 2023 will open on June 1st, 2023.
- Interested women are also encouraged to participate in Sorority Recruitment 101. These sessions are offered during Fall Welcome.
