  •  HOW CAN I ADD MEMBERS TO MY GROUP?

    From the home page of your group’s portal, you can click on the on the burger icon (three lines, upper left of screen) and select the “Roster” tool! Invite one person or a bunch at a time – all you need to do is enter their email addresses in the space provided. The people you invite will receive an email invitation within which they can click an “Accept” button! Make sure you invite people with their UWM email addresses only.

     

  • HOW DO I CREATE AN EVENT?

    From the home page of your group’s portal, click on the burger icon (three lines, upper left of the screen) and select the Events tool. From here you can click the blue button “Create Event” to begin an Event Request that is all done online.

     

  • HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

    Currently, reservations are still made through UWM Union Event Services for most campus spaces. Visit https://uwm.edu/union/reps/reservations-and-pricing/ for more information and a web app for making reservations. In the near future, UWM Engage will be intergrated with the reservation software system to make this process seamless for student users.

    How do we update the organization information for the Renewal Registration process?

    How do we change officers?

    To change the officers in your organization, you will need to fill out a Renewal Registration organization profile. After Renewal is over, you will use the About tool for the organization to make updates. Previously, certain officers could move other students to officer status. This was frequently done without submitting new officers for enrollment verification. In the new system, officers on submitted through the organization profile. Student Involvement changes the officer settings once officers have met the minimum requirements.

    When can we reserve space?

    Student organization officers can reserve spaces once all Renewal Registration requirements are met. This includes officer enrollment verification, officer training submissions and officer contract submissions. This also includes the Advisor contract submission. Individual groups may have additional items to address such as debt or other unresolved issues. Always check in with your fellow officers to make sure they have done the online submissions that they must complete to move this process forward.

    Why do I get a “Yike!” message screen each time I try to submit the Renewal Registration?

    This appears to be related data entered in the social media data fields in the Renewal Registration. To expedite your renewal, remove all social media listings and attempt to submit again. Student Involvement will work with all student organizations to update the social media information after renewal is over.
