The UWM Distinguished Lecture Series Presents an Evening with Aly Raisman

April 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for an evening with Olympian and Sexual Assault Awareness Advocate, Aly Raisman. Raisman was the team caption of the gold medal winning Women’s Gymnastics teams in 2012 and 2016, has won six Olympic medals overall, and is the third most decorated United States gymnast of all time. Recently, Raisman has been leading the conversation outside the gym with her platform against sexual assault and for self-advocacy, self-care, and body positivity.

Raisman is also the author of the New York Times Bestseller, Fierce:  How Competing for Myself Changed Everything. In this memoir Raisman shares the highs and lows of her journey to achieve her dreams and the importance of supportive family, friends, and teammates in getting there.
