Milwaukee Premiere!

This film tells the stranger than fiction true story of two South Korean filmmakers who, after reaching the top of Korean cinema fame, were kidnapped in Hong Kong by North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il in order for them to be declared his own personal filmmakers. They produced 17 feature films for him while planning their escape. The Lovers and the Despot recalls this amazing story.
