Tie Dye & Button Making
Date: Saturday, August 31
Tie dye your very own t-shirt with us at the SACC and make a few custom buttons while you’re here. Supplies are limited — bring your own t-shirt if you want to dye more than one!
SACC Make & Take
Date: Wednesday, September 4
Time: 11am – 2pm
Hang out with us in the Union Concourse while you make and take a project from each of our five areas (ceramics, fibers, photography, print, and metals), including our popular pinch pots.
Panther Street Festival
Date: Friday, September 6
Stop by the Studio Arts and Craft Centre tent to make Panther Fest buttons to rock at the show.
Knitting & Crocheting Circle
Date: Every other Wednesday beginning September 18
Join a community of knitters and crocheters to learn something new! All levels are welcomed, just bring some yarn, needles and a desire to learn. Knitting needles and yarn are also available for purchase at the SACC.
Artist Fair & Harvest Fest
Date: Tuesday, October 8
Time: 10am – 4pm
Swing by the Union Concourse to browse through handmade art including prints, jewelry, mugs, & more before visiting other Harvest Fair activities in Spaights Plaza.
SACC Family Day
Date: Saturday, October 12
While your loved ones visit for Family Weekend, make sure to visit us for some family bonding with our free Projects of the Week: Mini Photo Album & Family Tree.
Día de Los Muertos Altar Workshops
Date & Time: TBD
Create an ofrendita (little altar) in honor of a loved one who has passed away at any of these three open & free workshops.

Make a craft or two with us at Panther Pause to relax and recharge before finals!
Drop-ins are free, mini sample workshops meant to demonstrate the creative opportunities that the SACC offers. Bring a friend and enjoy exploring new art experiences. No need to sign up; drop by anytime during an open drop-in for a new fun experience!
Drop-In Intaglio Printmaking
Date & Time: Monday, September 30 11:30am-1:00pm
Learn how to apply ink to an intaglio-style printmaking plate and pull prints using a relief press. This will be a hands-on activity, so be prepared to get a little messy.
Drop-In Wheel Throwing
Date & Time: Wednesday, October 16 4:00-5:30pm
Interested in making functional art? Try your hand at throwing pottery on the wheel and watch demonstrations of wheel throwing techniques that can be learned in our Intro to Wheel Throwing workshop.
Date & Time: Wednesday, October 30, 6:00-8:00pm
Learn how to create a photographic image without the use of a camera by placing objects onto light-sensitive material and exposing it to light.
Drop-In Fabric Marbling
Date & Time: Monday, November 11, 6:00-8:00pm
Learn the process of manipulating dyes into liquid patterns and how to transfer them to fabric to create a classic marbled effect.
Date & Time: Friday, November 22, 12:00-2:00pm
Learn how to fuse glass to metal at 1,500 degrees. Explore the sifting and application process involved in fine art enameling.
