The Office of Central Advising (OCA) is a comprehensive, campus-wide unit that provides holistic, compassionate, intensive advising and opportunities for multicultural enrichment to students from diverse backgrounds who have not yet declared a major.

As part of OCA, the Southeast Asian-American Student Services (SAASS) is a campus-wide program that provides holistic, culturally sensitive support services that are essential for Southeast Asian- American (Cambodian, Hmong, Laotian and Vietnamese) students to achieve their educational and career goals. The services include intensive advising for undecided students, assistance with completing application for admission, assistance with completing application for financial aid, assistance with career planning, personal counseling and more. To best serve students, the program works closely with the faculty, staff, and students at UWM, and Southeast Asian communities and leaders in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
