The Center for International Education (CIE) is UWM’s one-stop shop for international programs and services. CIE provides admissions and immigration advising for international students and scholars, offers study abroad and international opportunities, and provides a variety of travel services, like passport photos and ISIC international student identification cards. CIE also coordinates the Global Studies degree program, the Global Studies minor, the international studies major and minor, as well as area studies certificates. CIE’s Institute of World Affairs offers public programs and public outreach initiatives, like the Fireside Forum and the Kennan Lecture Series; as well as K-16 student and teacher programs, like the statewide Wisconsin Model UN program.
