Director of Student Learning, Assessment, and Planning

The Division of Student Affairs and UWM is hosting four finalists for the position of Director of Student Learning, Assessment, and Planning.

Reporting to the Chief Student Affairs Officer (CSAO), the Director of Student Learning, Assessment, and Planning is expected to be a collaborative, innovative, strategic thinker and leader who can create a culture of assessment and continuous improvement within the Division of Student Affairs. The Director is responsible for coordinating and evaluating the division’s contributions to student learning, student retention, experiential learning, divisional strategic planning, and assessment. As a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, this person is expected to lead and advocate for all campus and divisional priorities, identifying opportunities to integrate efforts cross-divisionally, helping to align divisional and departmental efforts in support of the divisional vision, values, and priorities in an integrated, cross-functional way.

The finalists have been asked to prepare a 20 minute presentation on the topic “Using assessment to meet the challenges in student affairs at a diverse urban university“, followed by a Q&A interview with the audience. The finalists’ letter of application, on-campus interview itinerary, and finalist feedback survey are listed below. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the finalists and gather information for constructive feedback.
