Billy McLaughlin Presentation
March 9, 2016, 3pm CST
We are pleased to inaugurate a new series of presentations by luminaries in the world of finger-style guitar — performers, composers, scholars, and other persons of interest.
On Wednesday, March 9th, from 3-4pm CST (UTC/GMT -06:00), Billy McLaughlin spoke to UWM finger-style guitar students. He discussed his background and career, his choice to move ahead with two-hands-on-the-fingerboard technique and the use of alternate tunings, and the challenges he faced confronting focal dystonia and re-learning his unique guitar style left-handed. This presentation will be archived at https://www.youtube.com/user/GuitarStudentsAtUWM.
