Professional Activities
Dr. Kaushal Chari currently serves as the Sheldon B. Lubar Dean and as Professor of Information Technology Management. He served as a co-chair for business and academic conferences including the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum and the Workshop on Information Technology & Systems. Dr. Chari has also served as the Associate Editor for MIS for Interfaces Journal from 2002 - 2010, and as the Vice Chair of the INFORMS Information Systems Society from 2007 - 2009.
Dr. Chari's work has been published in a number of academic journals including Management Science, Information Systems Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, MIS Quarterly, and IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering.
Dr. Chari is the winner of numerous awards including the Community Champion for Entrepreneurship Award from the Global International Entrepreneurs Organization (TiE) and the Design Science Award given by the INFORMS Information Systems Society.
He currently serves on the boards of non-profits such as Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, and FIA of Tampa Bay. Dr. Chari has also engaged with businesses as a board member, consultant, or as an advisor. He is currently a member of INFORMS and the Rotary Club of Milwaukee.
