SREed is the external evaluation partner for TEAM GEAR UP. In this role, SREed supports project leaders and partners by collecting, analyzing, and reporting evidence about implementation, progress, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SREed\u2019s\u00a0evaluation work is grounded in four core commitments:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Theory-driven evaluation<\/em>\u00a0– SREed\u00a0examines how TEAM GEAR UP\u2019s strategies are expected to lead to student outcomes and studies whether the project is being implemented in ways that align with its theory of change.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsive partnership<\/em>\u00a0– SREed\u00a0works with project leaders, schools, and partners to ensure that\u00a0evaluation\u00a0questions are relevant,\u00a0timely, and useful for decision-making.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use-focused reporting\u00a0<\/em>– SREed\u00a0designs evaluation products that project staff and partners can use to\u00a0monitor\u00a0progress, strengthen implementation, and improve\u00a0supports\u00a0for students and families.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rigorous methods\u00a0<\/em>– SREed\u00a0uses qualitative and quantitative methods to understand implementation, participation, student outcomes, and system-level change over time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluation Questions\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

SREed\u2019s evaluation of TEAM GEAR UP can be organized around several guiding questions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Implementation:<\/strong>\u00a0To what extent are TGU services being implemented as planned across schools, grades, and partner organizations?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Participation:<\/strong>\u00a0Which students, families, educators, and schools are receiving TGU\u00a0supports, and how does participation vary over time?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Quality and coherence:<\/strong>\u00a0How well are partner services coordinated into a coherent student support pathway?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Short-term outcomes:<\/strong>\u00a0How are students\u2019 academic engagement, college knowledge, family awareness, and educator capacity changing during the early years of implementation?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Mid-term outcomes:<\/strong>\u00a0Are students making progress toward\u00a0Algebra I\u00a0completion, on-track high school progression, dual enrollment, graduation, and FAFSA completion?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Long-term outcomes:<\/strong>\u00a0Are students enrolling in postsecondary education and persisting\u00a0into\u00a0the second year?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Continuous improvement:<\/strong>\u00a0What lessons can project leaders and partners use to strengthen implementation and improve student\u00a0supports?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
