Freshwater Colloquium: Environmental Justice and Native Writing in the 21st Century

The spring semester 2022 Colloquium Series will examine the important issues of water and environmental equity in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. It is designed to support workforce development and public leadership.
Professor Kim Blaeser is an Anishinaabe poet and recent Wisconsin poet laureate 2015-2017. She has published numerous books, including “Copper Yearning” and “Apprenticed to Justice.” She has numerous other water and environmental equity works, including a podcast with Janet McAdams, Robert P. Hubbard Professor in Poetry at Kenyon College, and Making Waves Milwaukee event with Public Radio’s “To The Best of Our Knowledge” live show.
