I am presently the Archives Program Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My duties include administrating the archives program in the School of Information Studies, classroom instruction, records management and student advising.
Prior to coming to UW-Milwaukee, I was an archivist at the University of Wyoming’s American Heritage Center, one of the largest and most influential archives in the nation. While there, I gained extensive experience acquiring, arranging, describing, and providing reference services for archival records.
During this time, I gained an appreciation for the vital role that archival records (and records in general) play in today’s society as agents of accountability and extensions of public memory. My development as an archivists and an archival educators has only increased my appreciation for records and their importance to humanity.
