Fall, Spring, Summer

I study the evolution, behavior, ecology, morphology, taxonomy, and color vision of fishes, especially the cichlid fishes of Lake Malawi, Africa. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at the Waukesha Campus of UW-Milwaukee, and the Adjunct Curator of Fishes and Research Fellow at the Milwaukee Public Museum.

I am also a professional saxophonist, with special experience in jazz performance.
