Barry Cameron has a BS and MS degree in Geosciences from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He received his PhD from Northern Illinois University on the origin of arc magmas in Guatemala. He studied the explosive behavior of lava domes as a postdoctoral researcher at Arizona State University. He was hired at UW-Milwaukee in 2001. Dr. Cameron conducts research in the fields of volcanology, igneous petrology and terroir. His current research takes him to Iceland, Italy, and Guatemala.
