To offset the cost of advanced clinical training, each YOSUT III student receives $25,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-program-description\">Program Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students in this program complete:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certified curricula in substance use counseling and trauma-informed care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experiential training at integrated behavioral health placement sites serving high-need, high-demand areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students receive:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience delivering evidence-based, culturally competent, mental and behavioral health services, including tele-mental health, within inter-professional teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support and guidance in post-graduation job placement by the YOSUT III leadership team through professional networking and career services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-financial-assistance\">Financial Assistance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accepted students receive a $25,000 stipend over two semesters to offset the cost of advanced clinical training;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li id=\"loan-repayment\">Information about <a href=\"#jump\">loan repayment programs<\/a> for which YOSUT III students may be eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-applying\">Applying<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage applications from admitted MSW students interested in careers serving children, youth, and young adults within high-need\/high-demand areas in the mental and behavioral health field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are limited spots available. Students admitted to the traditional in-person MSW program should <a href=\"https:\/\/milwaukee.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_7UMsDeJci5EkZsa\">apply<\/a> by March 15 ahead of the semester they plan to take 821 Field. Applicants must meet the program eligibility and requirements below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-program-eligibility\">Program Eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be a U.S. citizen, non-citizen national, lawfully admitted permanent resident, or &#8220;qualified alien.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be admitted or enrolled in the traditional, in-person MSW program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If enrolled, must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must not have started Social Work 821 (Field Instruction III).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-notice uwm-p-notice--info\"><i class=\"fa-solid fa-circle-info fa-fw\"><\/i><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--content\"><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--message\">The YOSUT III program is only available for students in the traditional MSW program, which is in person and based on the UW-Milwaukee campus. The YOSUT III program curriculum is not available in the Online Master of Social Work program.<br><br>School social work students are not eligible for YOSUT III due to conflicting curricular requirements.
