Co-Lead Evaluator: James Topitzes

Period: 10/2017 – 9/2019

Research Overview: Led by the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Wisconsin, this 2-year interdisciplinary project is aimed at preventing violent crime recidivism among men who are returning to Milwaukee from prison. All participants are at high risk for re-offending and will receive an array of evidence-informed and innovative services. The ICFW program evaluation, conducted in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin, will include process- and outcome-oriented components. The process evaluation will emerge from an interactive and monitoring design and contribute both to program fidelity and quality. The outcome evaluation results, derived from quasi-experimental and experimental designs, will provide insight into potential program effects.
