Kate Masshardt, MEd
Kate Masshardt is an academic advisor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. She currently advises all new transfer students A-Z and all other students M-Z. Kate also advises on the crime analysis certificate, forensic science certificate, and earning a second bachelor's degree. In addition to advising, she works with transfer student recruitment and participates in campus-wide committees.
Kate has a bachelor's degree from Marquette University in sociology and social welfare and justice, and a master's degree from Iowa State University in higher education. Prior to her current position at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she held positions in admissions, orientation, and campus activities.
Kate's goal is to work collaboratively with students to understand and plan for their academic, professional, and personal goals through an understanding of degree requirements, university policies, and available practical experiences.
