Austin Holik, BSW, CSW
Austin Holik is an MSW student and research assistant in the Helen Bader Office of Applied Gerontology. He works under the direct supervision of the Endowed Chair of Applied Gerontology. Austin believes that all older adults should have access to robust services that promote healthy aging. He is interested in research on the older adult population, the experiences of LGBT+ identified older adults, and the intersectionality of social work and public health.
Austin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in social work in 2016. He completed the Graduate Certificate in Applied Gerontology in 2017 with the UWM Center for Aging and Translational Research.
