One of our Panthers’ favorite #FallWelcome events is #Pantherfest! However, despite all the excitement for a private concert, there is also a lot of hate. This year, the #Pantherfest Working Group decided to share their thoughts on student reactions to the artist announcement – Jimmy Kimmel style! With a reach of 30,855, the video received 9,972 views, 201 reactions, 26 comments and 32 shares.
With Pantherfest right around the corner, the Pantherfest Working Group, who sets up the concert every year, decided to take a look at how students reacted to the artist announcement – Jimmy Kimmel style. We love our outspoken Panther community and hope to see you ALL at the show tomorrow: https://uwm.edu/pantherfest

The month of September brings about that time of year when you aren’t exactly sure what season it really is. Some days it’s 90 degrees, and other days it’s 50 degrees. However, our Panthers were pretty excited to discover they’d be able to enjoy the last weekend of summer at Bradford Beach – so much so that the post earned 8,447, 79 likes and 13 retweets.

A yearly tradition, our news Panthers gathered in front of Mitchell Hall to take their iconic class photo. Amidst the sea of black and gold, our incoming freshmen enjoyed mingling, a word from Chancellor More and a scrumptious dinner. Class of 2021 enjoyed the evening so much they gave us 1,633 likes. Let’s give them a warm welcome to the UWM family.
When things got down to business on the first day of classes, our Panthers could be found in every classroom and lecture hall across campus. But between classes, Spaights Plaza was the spot to be! This shot of our students catching some live music earned 948 likes!
Towards the middle of the month, autumn started to show its face, and the Panther family was quick to take advantage. These students found a lovely spot for a study break nestled in the orange leaves and earned themselves a total of 950 likes.
Snapchat got groovy this month at the last NEWaukee Night Market of the summer! We saw dancing, s’more making, crafts and so much more!
September was a month jam-packed with fun, and though we’re sad to see it go, we can’t wait too see what this academic year will bring us! Here’s hoping we continue to see plenty of great content on #UWMSocial.
