First snowfall of 2018 school year

November is the month that seems to go by the fastest in the semester. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t eventful! Sandwiched between midterms and finals, we had a great November!

November started by diving into the daily life of an architecture student. This video was a favorite, reaching 11,412 people and gaining 262 reactions, 4,572 video views and 1,280 clicks.

We also had the very first snowfall in November that draped campus in a beautiful white dusting of snowflakes. These snowy photos reached 15,061 people with 859 reactions and 2,755 clicks.

Winter is… here! ❄️ We woke up to a campus blanketed in white with the first snowfall of the school year!

November also kicks off the season of giving and that means sponsoring scholarships for UWM students. This post on Giving Tuesday reached 11,706 people and gained 82 reactions and 139 clicks.

On Instagram, it’s no surprise that seasonal photos of our beautiful campus performed well. This snow-capped KIRC photo received 1,177 likes!

 

Later in the month, we found a stunning aerial photo of a wintery Milwaukee scene and just had to repost it. This photo received a whopping 1,726 likes, our best for November!

 

Another winter campus shot was especially well-liked, featuring golden leaves dusted in snow with the Chemistry building in the background. This photo received 1,055 likes.

 

Twitter:

On Twitter, we were all impressed by a UWM athlete featured by the Journal Sentinel for being on the Women’s Basketball AND Soccer team – busy lady! This tweet received 11,467 impressions, 44 likes and 16 retweets.

 

November was all about Homecoming, especially leading up to the much-anticipated Homecoming Men’s Basketball game! This tweet received 10,309 impressions, 11 likes and 4 retweets.

 

Finally, we ended the month well with a Tweet inspired by a popular Twitter trend. We decided to chime in with our version, Panther-style! This clever tweet was a favorite by far, receiving 10,103 impressions, 177 likes and 27 retweets.

 

With winter upon us and the school year soon coming to a close, we’re excited for what the last month of 2018 has in store for us on #UWMSocial!
