May is a month filled with plenty of exciting events on college campuses: final exams, graduation and the first day of summer vacation! With the hustle and bustle of classes ending, we always aim to fill our social platforms with great content in hopes that a fun Instagram, tweet or Facebook post will distract our Panthers from any stress that may be feeling… even if just for a moment. Check out how we did!

April showers bring May flowers, and they also brought us great social content! Amidst the beginning of spring and the final weeks of the semester, we were able to have a lot of fun on social. Let’s look!
At #UWMSocial, we kicked off 2018 with quite a month. January was filled with accomplishments, discoveries, and of course, lots of winter fun! With a month this good, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the year.
This past December, as always, was filled with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season on campus. However, the season was made even brighter by the student success and panther pride shown on #UWMSocial, with everything from final exams to fall commencement.
During the season of thankfulness, we all like to reflect on the things we value most. Here at #UWMSocial, this list includes the amazing content we get to post each month and our wonderful Panther family for the engagement they bring to us. Let’s look back at some of the content we were most grateful for in November.
October was spooktacular at #UWMSocial! But, not everything was just pumpkins and candy. This month was filled to the brim with new accomplishments and scary-good photos. Let’s take a peek!
UWM’s App Brewery worked with the Medical College of Wisconsin to create a one-of-a-kind app to assist with brain surgeries. The video received our most impressions of the month with 45,966 impressions, 23,854 views, 130 shares and 504 likes.
The 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to Rainer Weiss, Kip Thorne and Barry Barish for their roles in the discovery of gravitational waves, a breakthrough that helped confirm a prediction in Einstein’s theory of relativity. The discovery was made possible by scientists around the globe working together, and UWM’s team played key roles in finding, processing and confirming the gravitational wave information from a mountain of data. On your mark, get set, PROWL! Nearly 2,000 runners took on the 13th annual Panther Prowl on Saturday morning. The 2017 event has raised $25,000 and counting! In total, the Prowl has raised more than $300,000 over the years for student scholarships.
School is back in session! With all of our Panthers back on campus, we made the most of our social content for back-to-school season. As the fall semester speeds into autumn weather, let’s look back on the sunny days of September!
