Benefits Administration

In partnership with staff from the UWM Central Benefits Office, Shared Services offers several resources related to benefits and the management of benefits data. We encourage individuals with benefits questions to first contact their respective HR Business Partner who can then ensure inquiries are routed to the appropriate dedicated staff who will address needs efficiently and effectively.

Shared Services staff are involved in numerous Benefits processes that relate to:

  • Benefits Counseling

    Standardize documentation; Provide resources & best practices for benefits counseling.

  • Leave Management and Payouts

    Advise staff on leave policies and usage; monitor MSS/ESS and enter leave payouts at end of appointment. Monitor and advise on sick leave reduction process.

  • Leave Tracking

    For intermittent or ongoing FMLA/WFML leave monitor hours used per approved leave.
