The Shared Services Centers strive to provide superior service quality to our UWM stakeholders. These administrative hubs provide services across the functions of Procurement, Human Resources, Travel and Information Technology (see Campus Technology Support, CTS).
The first Shared Services Center (SSC 1) began providing support to the School of Education, College of Health Sciences, College of Nursing, Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, and Financial & Administrative Affairs in June of 2018. The second Shared Services Center (SSC 2) is being implemented in February 2020, providing support to 12 additional campus schools, colleges, and divisions. The third, and final, Shared Services Center (SSC 3) will be brought online to support the remaining campus units in late 2020 as we work towards complete implementation of the Integrated Support Services project.
The vision of Shared Services is to be a responsive partner that puts people first, both those supported by the hub and those who provide these essential services. Our goal is to provide excellent services and create a structure that focuses on collaboration and enhanced growth opportunities.
