Commencement Regalia Order Form
Arena doors open at 8:00 a.m. for the Black ceremony and 12:30 p.m. for the Gold Ceremony. Each graduate is allowed 7 guests. Seating is limited and available on a first come first serve basis.
Graduation day is a momentous occasion and we are delighted for family and friends to celebrate with their graduating student. We have recently been experiencing larger crowds at UWM commencement ceremonies. In addition, we understand there are several other universities holding graduation ceremonies in close proximity to the UWM Panther Arena at the same times as our morning and afternoon ceremonies. We therefore encourage graduates and guests to arrive early to accommodate the expected increase in traffic, demand on parking spaces and other related issues.
In the event the UWM Panther Arena fills to capacity, UWM has reserved overflow space at the Wisconsin Center, located at 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Graduates’ guests that exceed the arena allowance will be directed to watch the ceremony remotely from rooms 201, 202 and 203 of the Wisconsin Center.
Please click here for a map of the Wisconsin Center and reserved overflow viewing rooms.
If you would like to avoid the large crowds, you may also watch the live-stream of Commencement from home using the following link:
The handicapped entrance to the Arena is located at 500 W. Kilbourn Ave (between the Miller High Life Theatre & the UWM Panther Arena). ADA decks for wheelchair seating are located in Sections 200, 205, 210, 222 and 226. Accessible seating is available on a first come first serve basis; due to limited space, we request that only one non-disabled person sit with each person with a disability in the seating area designated for these guests.
There will be sign language interpreters available in section 211. This seating is available on a first come first serve basis. There will also be captioning available on two large screens located on the left and right sides of the main stage.
