Science Bag<\/h1><\/header>\n\n\n

We offer engaging, interactive Science Bag presentations\u2014at UWM or at your school!\u2014for regional middle schools and high schools. Designed to spark curiosity and bring scientific concepts to life through hands-on learning, our programs are led by experienced UWM professors who are passionate about making science accessible, exciting, and memorable for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to schedule a select number of visits each term. If your school is interested in a Science Bag presentation, please write to us at science-bag-inquiries@uwm.edu<\/u><\/a> and include any information\/requests you can initially share – such as number of students and grade level(s), best times\/days, desired location (UWM or your school), and any particular science or math areas of interest. If you can come to UWM, you do have more opportunities to see\/use our facilities such as the Planetarium, the Biological Sciences Greenhouse, the Greene Geological Museum, the seismometer or meter-scale flume, or even making liquid nitrogen ice cream in the chemistry building, etc. Once you submit an inquiry, we will reach out to you to discuss details and work out a plan!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis, however January 15 is the deadline to apply for a Science Bag activity for the current academic year. (For example, for Academic Year 2026-27, please write to us by January 15, 2027).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n
