The ensemble is open to string, woodwind, brass and percussion players — including violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba and percussion — who are comfortable reading music and interested in performing orchestral repertoire in a collaborative and engaging musical environment. The orchestra performs a wide range of classical symphonic and light pop movie repertoire. The Orchestra is under the direction of Dr. Jun Kim, Director or Orchestral Activities at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and members of the conducting staff. Rehearsals and performances provide an opportunity for community musicians, students, educators and experienced players to collaborate in a rewarding orchestral setting.
