Trauma in Our Community Conference

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 17, 2025, to attend the UW-Milwaukee’s Trauma in Our Community Conference. The conference will take place in-person at UWM’s Downtown Conference Center or virtually from your home or office.

Keynote presentation by Sarah Eagle Heart, a Lakota activist, author and producer, who will weave together Lakota teachings to explore Indigenous holistic worldviews as powerful pathways to healing.
Breakout sessions led by a diverse group of experts in areas such as collaborative strategies, leveraging technology, multicultural approaches, restorative practices and more.
Innovative approaches to healing and community support that you can add to your toolkit and put to use immediately.
Closing panel on reimagining healing through peer support.
Continuing education hours toward your licensure: Earn 0.7 CEUs or 7.0 CEHs by attending.

I’m really excited to be part of the Trauma Conference at UWM. This is a conference for the whole community about trauma and how trauma affects our world. Every year there’s a new focus, and every year we bring in experts who have lived experience and fresh perspectives of how to deal with trauma. Spend a day with us.
