Women Working with Women (Building Confidence track)

As Madeleine Albright once noted, there is “a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” There has never been a better time for women to break through the glass ceiling. But, we need the help of each other. Are we sabotaging our own success? Do we confuse likeability with success? In this session, we will explore some possible reasons women have difficulty working with other women. We will also dive into the many reasons our support of each other is so important.


Jan Allen

Jan Allen retired from UWM’s School of Continuing Education in June 2016 and moved to the beach in North Carolina. Prior to retiring, Jan was the first director of the Women Leaders Conference and the director of the business and management programs. Jan has been a long time student of women’s issues and has served on numerous boards and committees to assist with the leadership development of women.
