Family Mediation
The ever-expanding and ever-changing field of family mediation covers all aspects of concerns. From divorce and custody disputes to separation of never-married couples and estates, the ability to mediate effectively is in demand now more than ever.
Courses through the UWM School of Continuing Education are distinctive because they focus on strengthening the family connection in the face of adversity. No matter what types of dispute management and resolution you deal with, this foundation is essential. It’s also personally fulfilling because mediation allows you to help clients maintain greater control over their lives.
Whether your career is in law or education, the skills you learn to foster understanding, cooperation and agreement work for both parties, greatly improving your opportunities in the workplace.
In addition, our programs have been reviewed and approved for CLEs and also CEUs. Our Family Mediation program meets or exceeds the national mediation training standard including the training required by Wisconsin Chapter 767.
