Tammy Belton-Davis

Tammy Belton‐Davis is a skilled communications professional with a diverse background in government, education and communications.

Merging her love of politics and community with communications, Tammy launched Athena Communications, LLC, a communications and governmental affairs firm delivering creative and impactful communications and leadership development products to nonprofit, small business and corporate partners.

With a solid 15 years of experience, her role as principal of Athena is to provide her clients with a cutting-edge approach in communications that results in optimal growth. Prior to launching Athena, Tammy held senior-level positions with nonprofit organizations and city government, and served as a staff assistant for the Milwaukee County Board and Milwaukee Common Council.

The consummate professional, she brings a fresh perspective and excellence to every project. Tammy’s charismatic style in facilitating visioning and strategic planning sessions or delivering a customized communications plan makes her a sought after presenter and leader. She specializes in brand management and strategic communications and feels most blessed working on education, youth development and business development issues.

Tammy serves as vice president of programming with the National Black Public Relations Society–Milwaukee Chapter. Her community work includes serving as vice-chair of the Groundwork Milwaukee board and board member of the Center for Self‐Sufficiency. She is the program coordinator of Cardinal Stritch University’s African American Leadership Program and lead administrator for her church.

A proud graduate of Alverno College, she enjoys reading, national politics and being a wife and mother.
