Shruti Sarode is the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change (WICCI) Coordinator. She earned her Master of Technology in Biotechnology and Biochemical engineering at IIT Kharagpur and her Master of Science in Environmental Conservation at University of Wisconsin Madison. Before joining Wisconsin DNR, Shruti served as the Innovation and Sustainability Associate at the Applied Environmental Research Foundation in India. Shruti comes with a broad portfolio of environmental work having worked in India, China, Japan, and Canada. She was recognized as the 2016 Green Brain of the Year for her work in microalgal wastewater treatment.
