Shontra Powell joined American Society for Quality (ASQ) in 2015 as chief operating officer. Shontra has fiduciary and managerial responsibility over resources and business operations, products, sales, marketing, communications, communities and business development.
Shontra’s experience includes risk management, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, operations management, general management and global leadership. Before ASQ, she served as vice president of commercial operations for CBRE, a globally integrated commercial real estate and investment services firm.
Prior to CBRE, she worked for Johnson Controls, where she served most recently as vice president of global commercial operations and vice president of global client solutions. She also served Johnson Controls – Power Solutions Division as vice president and general manager retail mass market for the U.S. and Canada.
Shontra owned her own strategy and growth consultancy that included Fortune 100 clients and served in leadership roles in several GE business units.
Shontra has served on the boards of the YWCA of Greater Milwaukee, The Milwaukee Ballet and Pearls for Teen Girls, a Milwaukee nonprofit serving at-risk minority girls.
