Sarah Eagle Heart
Sarah Eagle Heart (Oglala Lakota) is an Emmy-winning storyteller and entrepreneur, whose perspective is rooted in her experiences growing up on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. An accomplished executive with a diverse background in tribal, corporate and non-profit organizations, Ms. Eagle Heart’s work largely focuses on advocacy, cultural education and cultural healing. Her most recent achievements include publishing the memoir, Warrior Princesses Strike Back: How Lakota Twins Fight Oppression and Heal through Connectedness, producing the award-nominated documentary, Lakota Nation vs. United States and contributing to the feminist anthology, This is How We Come Back Stronger.
Ms. Eagle Heart co-founded several organizations, including the Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition, and serves on various boards. She is committed to sharing cultural knowledge to help organizations understand and navigate the essential need for advocacy, cross-cultural communication, collaboration, education, healing, mutual respect and partnership for Indigenous Peoples.
