Salma Abadin , MPH
Salma Abadin received her master’s degree in public health, specializing in epidemiology and biostatistics, from Washington University in St. Louis. She currently serves as the Violence Prevention Research Coordinator for the City of Milwaukee Health Department’s Office of Violence Prevention. In this role, she manages and coordinates efforts around research, data and evaluation. In her previous role, Salma was a UW Population Health Service Fellow with the City of Milwaukee Health Department’s Office of Public Health Planning and Policy, supporting local public health accreditation as well as coordinating the Healthier, Safer, More Prosperous Milwaukee collaborative, which is a cross-sector partnership that aims to help create the conditions by which community- and evidence-informed policies and practices are advanced to enhance and assure safety, health and development in Milwaukee communities.
